Offense has been lackluster for weeks, Brees has been off for weeks.

It looked like it would bite us last week but we got a lucky tip at the end.

This week Brees missed multiple opportunities and we blew a 13-0 lead and allowed the refs to be the deciding factor.

Brees missed a ton of throws and the wounded duck throw was just a killer, Dr Int made one final appearance in the worst possible time.

Not many times that our offense was to blame for losing a chance at a Superbowl, but being unable to score more than 2 TD's at home is pretty pathetic.

The refs missed the biggest call ever, but we had something like 5 drives that ended with 0 points in the second half. Not the high flying offense of old.

Re: For those down on the team

Payton has come so far in adapting this offense. But we need to take it to another level. Need to have a better plan if the other team is shutting down our run. I know it's cliche to try to be more like the Patriots, but you have to admire how Brady can go to the quick strike passing game to negate good pass rushes. The days of having a pocket passer taking time to dissect a defense are coming to a close. Stafford and Cousins tried that this year to no avail. Rivers got exposed in the playoffs. Brady himself would've retired at 38 if Patriots used long progressions. You just don't have that kind of time in the NFL ... unless you have a mobile weapon like Mahomes or Wilson ... but with those comes higher risk of injury and being really screwed if you have to go to a backup QB.
