For those down on the team
We we were one out of 2 teams left in the NFC. It didn’t happen by chance. We overcame injury, won games with less offensive firepower than ever and an offensive line that was held together with band aids.
We spotted the Rams 13 points and battled through horrible call after horrible call and still did not trail. They had every opportunity to take that game away from us before that last PI/Helmet. They needed all that help and still barely got away with the win that was handed to them We didn’t play a great game, but keep in mind early on our guys knew they were playing against a team who didn’t have to follow the rules. Hard to throw the ball when you know someone is going to hold or hit you late. Not a great game by us but in spite of everything that went on with the officiating we still beat that team. The Rams will never be proud of that win. They will forever have to look be with the fact they didn’t belong in the SB. They know it and the entire league knows it. |

Re: For those down on the team
this team played a helluva season. nothing to be down on them about. it did feel like offensive weapons were limited down the stretch, and i definitely have some issues with how the playcalling went in the postseason, but this team should be headed to atlanta.
that said, i'm done with this league outside of this team. no more fantasy football, no more licensed gear, no more retweeting or spreading nfl news. i'm not even going to talk about football outside of what this team is doing. love this team til the day i die but can't support a league that would go full WWE just to get the outcome they want. we have to rebuild that 2011 offense and just be unstoppable. i know our ability to win close games is impressive, but we now just have to expect that the refs/league will find a way for us to lose if important games are played close. still sick to my stomach but this team and this fanbase is the greatest and this can't break us. |

Re: For those down on the team
It is both good and awful that they needed the refs to win.
Good because they couldn't beat us fairly Bad because its an absolute punch in the gut that the refs decided the outcome. |

Re: For those down on the team
I’m at work right now and I don’t recall a time I’ve ever felt like this.

I know how you feel. This is exactly why I watch games solo. If I was around an emotional group of people yesterday, I would have cried. Seriously, a grown man crying in front of people over a game is not kool.

Re: For those down on the team
I did not even watch OT.
I was driving to a party at that time. I was too anxious. I am watching the comments today. ESPN , former VP officiating Blandino said call was100 % mussed. In a big game, he was saying going forward , things need to be reviewed then and there. Expand replay protocol. Human err can happen. There is no rest of the season. There is no next week. There is no example for other officials and coaches to be aware of next week, you know, everyone be on their p’s and q’s. BUT, like everyone says it was only reviewed on the stadium’ s megahuge super trons in the sky, on tv , ol. Everyone saw it except for those officials who all should have pulled flags out. The game should have stopped for the officials to rev....nevermind. LARams, ok, congrats on today game changing missed call, that if called, maybe Rams could have come back then with a legit 7 pts td. SAINTS COULD ACCEPT THAT. Rams, really congratulations in legitimately winning in OT. Of course OT would not have happened if the calls were called. There were only 2 obvious missed calls. Looking at rerun play of Robey-Coleman of Rams, he even turned around looking for a flag. I just heard his interview, lo, yeah HE turned to see his flag. I am not down on Saints. No way! To get a winning season like this is not an ever year thing. To get NFC Cham game at your home is harder. NE Pats, WINNER OF THIS YEAR’S SB TO BE PLAYED IN TWO WEEKS, LOL, did not even win home field AFC Champ game. Saints goofed up in OT from what I have seen and heard. OT is anyone’s game on a coin toss. OT is who gets the play. Sudden death. Saints did well.Extremely well 2018. These years since the hurricane as been a huge financial boom for the city, people , and state. I am sorry to say, it is not being a negative, next year for a repeat is a , just unreal . It is not going to happen. Saints year to comeback after SB was years ago right after , but there was Lockeroom trash talkgate. The team was dismantled. Brees age age. Saints won games this year by being really close. I am not down on the Saints. |

Re: For those down on the team
After Dez went down I felt like the Saints should have signed Marshall; he is a veteran, even though he had never played in any playoff games.
He would have given Brees an additional target and someone else for defenses to have to game plan for instead of just Thomas & Ingram. |

Re: For those down on the team
Which team wins the coin toss, wins in OT.
I was driving to a party during OT. I did OT know Saints won coin toss which is just luck. I am looking at tv this morning and watched some ate last night. 1–Brees can throw a pic. We know that. The Saints Brees fancy play for yards last night gave Rams the win. 2–I am not down on Saints. The call was a turning point. 3—Saints should have put the game away earlier in 1st, 2 qrtr As good as they were these years, Daints have two things that have always messed them up. Officials calls against them. Saints self - made pics, penalities. Saints of these years have done so much for the game of football, commerce in football, our city and people, commerce for NewOrleans, EVERYTHING. I AM worried about the Saints future. Coaching staff . Brees cannot play forever. Rebuilding years. Ms. Gayle and Saints ownership. |
