I can give you a little homework. How many of the Saints "offensive" opposing players were injured and had to be removed from games during the 2009-10 season? As a little help I can tell you there were only two I am aware of and they suffered non-contact injuries. Either the Saints' defense was extremely bad at "intentionally injuring" opposing players or there was never any intention of injuring opposing players. Where did the Saints rank in penalties for roughing the passer and unnecessary roughness during the 2009-10 season? You find out with a little research that they were ranked in the bottom half of the league. Not what would be expected under a "bounty" system promoting "intentionally injuring" opposing players has Goodell proposed, huh? What was Favre's take on his supposedly being targeted with a "bounty"? You'll find out by reading his book that he didn't feel that the Saints did anything wrong and that the Vikings had the exact same type of defensive performance pool going on themselves. Once again, come back and play! ![]() |
