IIRC, Akiem wanted to be a 5 tech when Jordan had that locked down. Then he became lazy, took plays off etc. He "flashed" every 15 plays. Essentially it took 3 different teams before Akiem put it all together.
Too bad Coach Nielsen never had the opportunity to coach him up in New Orleans.
My understanding was we were going to a 3-4 (remember Hau'oli Kikaha?) and he was a poor fit...
