Re: 2019 Saints NFL Draft Prospects (NFL Combine)
I’m very much convinced that we will trade our 2020 2nd round pick for a 3rd round pick this year. We can look at what we did in 2017 to acquire Kamara as the blueprint. As a refresher of what we did:
Saints traded 2017 7th round pick+2018 2nd round pick in exchange for 49ers 3rd round pick (pick #67.) This year, I look to the Patriots as trade partners because they have 3 picks in the 3rd round. We can shoot for their pick #73. What could we come away with? Preferably something like this: 62. WR Hakeem Butler (Iowa St) Height: 6-5 Weight: 227 40 Time: 4.48 Vert: 36” 73. OL Michael Deiter (Wisconsin) Height: 6-5 Weight: 309 Michael Deiter has started at LG, C and LT. He would make Peat expendable and save us a lot of money. |

I think Peat remains on the roster in 2019. Could be wrong but just my guess. |

Not saying we trade him this season but take the Patriots approach. Always look to improve or deepen your OL. |

If a player struggles with injuries, they need to be ELITE like Armstead to justify it. That's just me speaking. |
