Re: Aaron Glenn being looked at by Bengals

The Saints could also block him from interviewing and then quietly offer him a raise or a new and better deal, and none of us or the press or the Bengals fans would ever know. Could be similar to what happened with Dennis Allen -- his name was dangling in the rumor mill for a couple of places, and then suddenly, BOOM, Allen has a brand new deal and is staying put with the Saints. Not sure if Glenn is "important" enough to announce a deal if something had changed to keep him in-house. He is currently under contract and thus the Saints have the say on whether or not he can interview -- that's just the way that part of the NFL works. Just like if he was a player, when his contract is up, THEN he can make a move and make more money if Glenn wants to. Until then he is under contract. Pretty simple really.

Glenn has been critical to our secondary turn around. Give the man a raise and extend his contract so we don't deal this for a few years.

He understands the concept of educating players and making the players understand the system by presenting it to their learning processes. I am happy with Aaron Glenn coaching the secondary because he has shown me that he is an NFL level coach and educator! He knows how to develop players.

Besides who wants to go to Cincy???? Ugghhh!!!!

Re: Aaron Glenn being looked at by Bengals

Marvin Lewis lasted longer than Mike McCarthy in GB - a SB winning coach.

I don't think anyone wants to go to Cincy. They've been a wasteland of mediocrity for a long time now. Brown wanted the team to be just good enough to sell tickets and merchandise. If he really cared about performance, he would've fired Lewis many years ago.

Of all those playoff losses, the only one that they arguably should've won was against Pittsburgh in 2015. Burfict trying to murder Antonio Brown cost them that game, and in typical Bungles fashion, Burfict was still on the team after that.

Don't forget they interviewed Dennis Allen and Mike Nolan first. Who turned who down? I'll guarantee you they both told Glenn to avoid that place like a plague. But still get your interview.

It’s getting kind of funny at this point. Two college coaches have turned them down this past week. They have to be in desperation mode now. The combine is two weeks away and they don’t know what kind of defense they’re running.
