Bryant is washed up and no one wanted him last year. We only signed him as an act of desperation. He was out of shape and immediately suffered a major injury after the signing. He's not the same player he was 5 years ago. There is a reason that Dallas didn't want him back despite being so thin at WR last year and there is a reason no other team wanted him 8 weeks into the season until coach SP realized how badly we needed WRs and went for him. I don't remember Kirkwood making any impact at all last year. Smith was a rookie last year and could make a big leap forward this year. Ginn has speed, but was never a top receiver in all his career. Last year's Saints had the worst WR corps of any Sean Payton team. They are the real reason we didn't reach the SB (bad non-call aside, I don't think we would've beat the Pats with our offensive struggles). Outside of Michael Thomas, we didn't have a single other receiver to strike fear into teams. Dallas figured it out and showed the world the blueprint to stopping our offense - shut down Kamara and Thomas, and try to make Brees beat you with a cast of no-names. We didn't have a single game last year with the offense firing on all cylinders without Thomas or Kamara (or both) having monster production in those games. All our games where the offense was explosive, those two were the driving force. If it weren't for our defense stepping up and playing so well, we probably wouldn't have won another game after that nightmare in Dallas. The offense was not the same and it all comes down to not having enough weapons at WR to take the pressure off Thomas and give Brees another target to throw to. Brees stats tanked at the end of the year when the offense was exposed and they simply never got their groove back. Fixing the offense is top priority. |

Re: Brown, Brown, and Beasley
This may sound weird but I had more confidence in undrafted Kirkwood than Tre' for 2018. He just didn't seem right. Hopefully it's a mental thing that he's over.
I still believe in Cameron Meredith. Hopefully his knee is right & he has a solid camp. Side note - we still need a TE or slot WR. A chain mover in crucial moments. IMO TLL and Carr are wasted roster spots. |

IF Meredith is healed, he can be the nightmare match up in the seam we've been missing. Unpopular opinion but I'd like to see Dez back in New Orleans to battle it out in camp |

God Bless him but TLL had no business being on the field late in that game. |
