Thirteen years to the day after Drew Brees changed the course of the New Orleans Saints franchise by signing a free agent contract in New Orleans, free agent quarterback Teddy Bridgewater chose to stay in New Orleans and write his own history.
After meeting with his hometown Miami Dolphins Wednesday (Mar. 13) night, Bridgewater decided to re-sign with the Saints, according to an ESPN report. A separate ESPN report indicated Bridgewater will return on a one-year, $7.5 million contract with incentives that could take it as high as $12.5 million. Bridgewater appeared to reference the anniversary of the Brees signing in a report shortly before the signing was reported. He then posted a picture of himself in a Saints uniform with the text, “run it back turbo.” NOLA |

Re: Teddy Back With The Band
WERE ONE OF THE GREATEST QB BROTHERS TO EVER PLAY THE GAME AVAILABLE? NO, NOT HIM AND ELI! JOSH AND LUKE OR ONE OF THE 30 OR 40 "BILLY JOES"?

I guess the Payton the Dallas is BS just like it has been for years. Nice deal. It all starts over next year too. Taking $7.5 million to be in school behind Brees? Greatest idea in the NFL.

Re: Teddy Back With The Band
That's a lot for a backup.
If you look deeper into it, it could signal that Brees is done after this year and TB id ready to step in. Otherwise, why spend double what you need to on a backup? |

Re: Teddy Back With The Band
In case Drew goes down we need a solid veteran leading the team. Teddy B is at least that....maybe more! I can't wait for preseason to see him run the offense.

Like Bobby Hebert Says "Bridgewater can't hold Drews Bree's jock strap" And I don't much think any half way decent starting quarter back in the NFL

Re: Teddy Back With The Band
I believe which is not much, that bridgewater still has a chance of being traded for pick later just a good feeling. Somebody goes down. Johnny on the spot loomis will be dealing 7.5 mil to wear a baseball cap come on
