Saints need a 4th DE & it won't surprise me if we bring in another vet post training camp. |

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
With Granderson out of the mix in 2019, I'd keep an eye on this guy (Porter Gustin) at camp. Came from a big time program, has a non stop motor & similar frame to CG. Looking at his body of work, he sets the edge really well. Health issues is the knock on him though.
Training camp awaits. |

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
NCB (2) 21 - Patrick Robinson, 22 - Chauncey Gardner (R4P3, #105), 35 - Marcus Sherels (FA 2019), 39 - Kayvon Webster (FA 2019)
This ^^ ^^^ position hadn't been talked about enough ... Rez could probably break down better than most here but I believe the slot is an extremely difficult position on D ... guys can go across the field, in & out or even up the field. Not to mention you have to worry about getting rubbed off the line. We'll face some good slot (Cobb, Lockett, Kupp & Sanu twice) WR's in 2019. PRob & Chauncey Gardner are good problems to have at the nickel spot. |

Only positions Payton has really tried to address, emphasize from a post-training camp/final 53 situation is interior OL, edge defender, and punt returner... |

Typically you would like 4 DT's (see Philly title team) in the rotation. Right now we have Edwards, Stallworth, Malcolm & maybe a rookie or possibly a proven vet as #4. I'd be very surprised if we see Rankins before November. I hope the Saints medical team don't have him return but not at anything less than 100%. |
