Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Bell is quickly becoming one of my favorites on defense. We’ve always heard that he’s the leader and the brains of the secondary but we would just see occasional flashes of playmaking ability. Now he’s really coming into his own and he looks like a guy that the game has really slowed down for. He’s a really good strong safety.

The question is, now that we've developed him, does he and agent demand a contract slot making it prohibitive to keep other players such as Onyemata, Kamara, Lattimore and Ramczyk? Loomis is creative at figuring out ways to borrow future salary cap space, but there's a point where this reaches critical mass, again, and we're gonna be locked in and have to watch great players walk out the door... At this point, I'm pulling for Bell to be solid for us, gets us to Lombardi Gras, along the way to a fat contract that gets the Saints a 3rd round compensatory pick, he imparts knowledge, helps develop Gardner... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Just looking at the WR roster/injuries multiple times again...
I must be the only one concerned about the lack of depth at WR? Tre has a nagging ankle injury, Kirkwood is on IR, Ginn bobbles a pass, subsequent INT vs Dallas and Carr is just out there. Cook (who I thought would ball here) has been a non factor/no show. We really need another WR (preferably a vet) for the #4 spot. You simply can't expect Thomas/Kamara to bail our offense out week after week after week. |
