Fair enough but he was under appreciated by a ton of fans in New Orleans ... especially when the losing started.

Not me though.

Re: WWL Radio: The Saints re-signing Michael Thomas isn't a no-brainer

With regards to Ingram, I've been highly critical of Payton's move up to draft him and in no way did his play throughout his rookie contract justify the move - he'd never busted 1000 RuYds/season...

When it came time to extend him, it made sense for the amount of money as we'd spent 5 years developing him and he was the best fit available on the market at that time...

But, I don't see the logic for the Saints to reverse course and not spend the coin and easily compensate him for what the Ravens were paying...

If you're the Saints FO, you've been in "All-In" mode the past two seasons, and then bail on him when he's got two good years left and can easily match the market?!? Another Payton/Mickster HeadScratcher...

May not have been a Superstar, but he sure was the best complement in the backfield and his veteran play has been a perfect fit to this offense - and I don't like messing with the team chemistry at this time either...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

In so far as Thomas goes, it may be that we can't afford Thomas and Onyemata, Rankins, Apple, Williams, Kamara, Lattimore, Ramczyk...

But who's gonna have two first round picks to get him, or a first and a second at the least?!? Trevor Lawrence is at least two drafts away right now...
