Poor coaching (Bill Johnson), poor work ethic, 7-9 squads & part of a historically bad (broke records for most yards allowed) defense early in his career.

Sure he's a good player now but let's not forget he was not giving maximum effort with the Saints.

Too bad it took 3 teams before Akiem put it all together.
