this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I know it's early but at some point this season I expect Gardner-Johnson to start for the Saints....

I know it's early but at some point this season I expect Gardner-Johnson to start for the Saints.

Bump.

Had to bring this back to life.

I love our draft picks for 2019 but Chauncey Gardner-Johnson is a favorite of mine. He can effectively blitz you, TACKLES LIKE A SAFETY IN SPACE, he can COVER (attacks like a missile) & has become lethal on special teams.

Dropping to the 4th round put a chip on his shoulder. You see how he's already put in the work. Rookie camp he stood out, OTA's and subsequent training camp we kept calling his name. He's already proven scouts wrong.


I distinctly remember him say right after the Saints called ... "I'm gonna make every team that passed on me feel it".

Other than the dropped INT, he looked like a starter yesterday.
