My pick is LJH.
We always wanted Anquan Boldin butnit never panned out. This could be the same type player. |

What makes it difficult for some of these DBs, LBs to make the squad is the guaranteed money paid to Banjo, Robertson who are non-starters, but logged many kick coverage snaps...

Re: And so it begins...
I'm waiting to see them with the pads on and see what shakes out, but there're three that intrigue me...
Porter Gustin, Devine Ozigbo, and Cyril Grayson... For whatever reason, we saw Trey's snaps decrease his second year, and the Saints need that third pass rusher for those Nascar Packages (Payton loves cross-sport-themed monikers)... Gustin, healthy, was good for a sack+ a game at USC, and has the size to play DE or the Jack in a 4-3 - he's a multiple front edge defender... Murray is a big man, but his burst is just adequate; as awesome as Kamara is, don't want to use him as a bowling ball (Ingram)... While Ozigbo will require coaching up coming from the Cornhuskers, he has terrific burst at the second level... Saints offense thrives with outside speed threat to tear the tops off of offenses; Devery got it done; never better with Cooks; Ginn just isn't always AVAILABLE... Grayson will have to show a good progression rate in his development, must have reliable hands, and win the return game job... With the speed he showed blowing past ALL the DBs in OTAs, he makes the squad, and the Saints have found their replacement for Ginn... |
