Stat of the Day

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Julio Jones has more fumbles lost against the Saints than he does touchdowns. Have a great day....

Love to know the actual number comparisons but don't have the time to check all his game logs. I do know he fumbled in the first game against us last year and didn't score in either.

He had 2 fumbles all of last year and 1 of them was against us in the thanksgiving night game.

Julio is a bit of an anomaly in stats.

I posted this article on SR forums last year before the season and it's still relevant.

Julio Jones Is Great At Everything But Catching Short Touchdowns

Julio is often compared to Jerry Rice due to his yards numbers, but that's pretty much the only thing he's really great at. He racks up big yards numbers, but not the TDs to go with it. Last year he posted his 2nd place career high in reception yards with 1,677 yet only had a total of 8 TDs to go with it.

By his yardage average, one would easily think he'd be racking up 10+ TDs a season and yet he's only had a single season with just 10 TDs. Herman Moore from the old 90s Lions had a better peak than Julio and that was with Scott Mitchell (whom was only good for one season) throwing to him.
