Preseason is almost always shaky for a O-line group. ESPECIALLY with a new center. It takes time before you get all your communication down, phrases and handsigns and whatever else might be used. Also you need a feel for how the guy next to you moves, how long are his steps, what power does he generate, stuff that will help you know where you need to get to. Even if you played with the guy next to you last year things changes in an offseason. You might have gotten slower, the guy nex to you faster and so on. |
