Nope. All 32 practice squads are a shared NFL resource. Any team can elevate any player on any practice squad to their 53 and there's nothing that can be done about it.

Teams are allowed to sign players from other teams' practice squads, but they don't immediately revert to their practice squad. If a player is signed off another team's practice squad, he has to be elevated to the signing team's 53-man roster for at least three weeks, while also earning three weeks salary.

I only see 2 TE's (Cook, Hill) on the active roster.

Either Mack or Arnold will get promoted for the game vs Texans.

Or when the game plan will call for three tight ends or their particular skill sets for match-ups...

He would have easily filled Ingrams spot for years as a cheap option.

Many here (not you) thought Boston Scott would make Ingram expendable  this time last year too.

Key bullet point here is special teams. Essentially 1/3 an aspect of the game. Dwayne was in on over 40% of special team snaps (he is above avg) & he's experienced. #3 RB is usually a special teams guy.

Think Win now mode.

You speak with reason sir, but man I hate to see us lose the kid.

I'll be honest, I didn't want to lose Ozigbo either.

Thought for sure we'd keep 4 RB's.

Guess we can always snatch him up if the need is there assuming he’s not on their 53.

I like the PS signings but am really disappointed that we didn't get the Wizard of Oz!

In regards to practice squad players, if anyone wanted to sign a player off the Saints, the Saints have the option of promoting that player to their 53 instead of automatically losing him. As far as keeping just three RB's with Kamara as the lead, I personally believe it signals the Saints are going to be more pass orientated and will run the ball less. I can't see them pounding Kamara and Murray is just above average at best to begin with. A really big step down from Ingram. Seeing as how the Saints are in win now mode, letting Ingram go was a mistake. Are they still good enough? Sure. But, if Kamara gets scuffed up, it's going to be a struggle.
