Checking in with the Pats fans I know (as some of you know, I hang out on their forums often).
They are pretty divided over AB. Some of them are ecstatic while others are worried this will blow up in their faces. The Pats have needed an upgrade at WR since losing Hogan. Even though he was a disappointment last year, he still had some big moments in the playoffs. Gordon is not 100% and the fans know this. They've been debating about if he will step away again this year. None of this is counting the absence of Gronk, whom was one of their keys for the past several years. It's a crazy move but in hindsight, I can see why the Pats rolled the dice here. It's a high risk/high reward deal. |

Also, his social media activity is very telling. But I think our FO is 100% ahead. |

I sometimes wonder if Graham regressed due to injuries we didn't know about cause I remember him taking some brutal hits in 2012, 2013 and all through 2014. He was so dominant at stretches during those seasons, it was like teams were targeting him and intentionally roughing him up. |

It's great QB play, but it definitely is taxing.

Re: Antonio Brown...should we?
The NFL has officially become as scripted as WWE and they aren’t even trying to hide it. The drama just adds another level of entertainment the NFL can cash in on and they will continue to allow and precipitate these soap opera type stories for as long as people keep clicking and tuning in. It used to be a ball game but now it’s just a year long reality series.
You can call it over. The Saints have absolutely zero chance of winning anything the way things are. |

The longer a play drags out like that, the tougher it is for receivers to get separation and often times it has to end the way you described, forcing a play into coverage. |

First week of the season after the worst non-call in NFL Playoffs history, and we're talkin' 'bout A-f*cking-B - guess that selfish MoFo gets what he wants even in #WhoDatNation...

Re: Antonio Brown...should we?
The coaches have to manage the team and obviously the GM has some say. If I have an employee that caused that kind of disruption...good riddance. Mayock has the authority. There were no mixed signals, Brown wanted to control the team...a double good riddance. It is not a case of "the man" doing anything but trying to control the team, which is his job. NE did what NE does. If the disruption continues there, we will see what happens, that will be interesting.

Great move for Belichick he'll gain a huge target for Brady and AB will have to prove a point in NE and make it work.
