this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I keep telling myself to take a deep breath and relax. It doesn't seem to help much though....

The more Teddy plays, the better Teddy will play. He isn't going to play like Brees and fans shouldn't expect him to. We are down a few men at WR right now & our O line played poorly. As a result, Kamara and Murray in the run game disappeared.
Time to move on and prepare for the Seachickens on Sunday and leave that place with a dubya. |

He can go over the top, which is shown in the video, and in that one throw the ball is in the air for 50 yards. He doesn't have the quickest release and needs proctection from the O-line while making his reads. On the other hand, he can make some really good throws while moving and that is something Payton can exploit by changing his launch-point to help with the protection - bootlegs will be especially effective if Kamara gets hot in the running game. All I'm saying is that there's a good football player there, who is much more ready to take on the responsibility that comes with the QB position than Hill. |

Re: Excellent Article From Strief
Yeah, but that TB clip was from two-three years ago. Pre-injury. A lot has changed since then. I guess we'll find out what he's got to offer on Sunday. I'm the first to admit I don't watch every single snap of preseason llke a hawk, but I don't recall him running for a first down, in preseason -- though I might have been in the other room getting a beer or flipping a load of laundry when he did. Taysom on the other hand, would take off running for the sticks and move the chains quite often.
