this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The unthinkable happens ... Brees is injured. Teddy is not worth his contract. SP is stubborn with personnel decisions sometimes. Refs pull yet another fast one on us. Defense got tired... and was robbed of a TD. Forget about this ...

The unthinkable happens ... Brees is injured.
Teddy is not worth his contract. SP is stubborn with personnel decisions sometimes. Refs pull yet another fast one on us. Defense got tired... and was robbed of a TD. Forget about this game and get ready for next week. SP needs to earn his extension. |

Re: Observations from Saints' loss at Rams
We were robbed. This game was rigged. Pattern of behavior by the league. Not even up for debate. We should have stopped playing at half time and refused to sent our team back onto the field.

Re: Observations from Saints' loss at Rams
Long time Saints fan (since 1970) and seeing Brees get his passing hand hurt is devastating. Plus the facts that the Refs did it YET AGAIN to the Saints in unacceptable. Jordan's fumble return for a TD would have been a huge difference. Im so tired of these refs. AND I swear to God, if I ever see Eli Apple do anything close to doing his job, I'll be stunned. He can't cover and he certainly can't tackle. I despise him.

Re: Observations from Saints' loss at Rams
Hate to say it, but if Brees broke his thumb or had any significant sprain, he’s probably out 6-8 weeks.

The game may have been "rigged" but no one can defend Apple - go back & watch - missed tackle after missed tackle. He is terrible. You actually think he is good??

By the way, one observation on Marcus Davenport...
It’s become a common thing to have him rush standing up behind the 1-technique. I’m getting a little annoyed that our huge investment at DE can’t put his hand in the dirt and beat a LT. |

Of course, our fans aren't going to focus on the negative. We'll spend a whole year talking about a bad call as if that's our only problem. The secondary was torched once the defensive line ran out of gas. Hell, they were getting torched before that. LATTIMORE got burned by Cooks, not unlike how the Rams were picking us apart in the NFCCG. This team has serious problems, and talking about how games are rigged and pretending Roger Goodell is some Lex Luthor super genius comic book villain, is just ignoring the evidence in our faces. This was my greatest fear going into this year. We looked like an exposed team in the final month of the season last year including playoffs. So far, that has followed us. When Brees went down, it was put on full display just how one dimensional this offense is and relies entirely on our aged, 40 year old HoF QB. Hell, you saw signs of this last week with how thoroughly Houston shut us down for one half of that game. I Cook is yet another dud for us at the Tight End position so far. We haven't had a decent TE now since Hoo-Man in 2015. The offense is what it was last year - entirely reliant on Brees throwing to Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara. No one is scared of our other receivers cause they don't posse a threat. Cook drops passes and gets shut down easily. Get ready for a long season.... |
