It's not just patience with Bridgewater, if he's not the guy going forward, that'll be clear, real quick...

Say Brees is coming back in six to eight weeks and we've somehow managed .500 +1 win ball at that point...

During time Brees is away, roll with Bridgewater...

If it's evident he'll be no more than a conservative, Brad-Johnson, check-down, ball-control passer who, one, won't throw it downfield, and two, won't run for the first down - then he limits the offense...

So, if his play has had no positive-WAR, why not take this Drew-less time to evaluate Taysom to see if the PreSeason was a fluke, or if he's the real deal...

If players genuinely rally to him, a must to win in the NFL, then you have to discover that now - otherwise you miss opportunities to take a replacement for the position in the next couple of drafts...
