we do any trade involving Marshon Lattimore for Jalen Ramsey, I will quit watching this team. I know it's unlikely but some people have suggested something like that, stating that we should give up Lattimore and a 1st rounder for Ramsey.

1. I think Lattimore hasn't hit his ceiling yet and has a lot of room for potential growth. I really think that in a few years, Lattimore is going to be the best corner in football.

2. I'm not even convinced that Ramsey is better now at this stage in their careers. Eli Apple is imho is not a good corner. He is better than Crawley, but overall he is rather mediocre. I think we run a lot of different things that has Lattimore or other defensive backs compensating for this hole in our defense. I think sometimes it looks like he's giving up something, but he doesn't get any help at all or is trying to do too much. I think you'd learn very quickly that Ramsey succumbs to many of the same things that Lattimore does.

3. Ramsey is piss poor locker room guy, who always has poor impulse control and is always spouting his opinion about something. I don't have anything against players having opinions or even being expressive. It's obvious to me though that when he talks, his opinions are not refined and thought out. I think he just yaps in order to get some sort of external approval. He just seems like a try-hard to me.

Ramsey is not worth 2 1st round picks to any team, and I don't think I'd give up anything more than a 1st rounder for him as the Saints GM(if I'd even give that). We already have a fairly dominant corner, and I think he is overrated. He is certainly not worth betting the farm on.

Re: IF..

Lattimore always starts slow. He will step it up. He is as critical of her myself as anyone is. Not worried. I think Apple will be fine too.
Our Dbs have given up some plays but it’s mostly a matter of the going up against elite to very good receivers. They have been out matched.
What I don’t see this year is a ton of miscommunication and blown coverage. That was a huge problem the first part of last year.

Re: IF..

We need online in draft and another hit on a db . Peat is finished no heart left jmo. We can hit on another Ramchek or McCoy in the first couple of rounds . Apple is probably well let’s just see how he finishes.

Hitta, this is a hypothetical discussion and the chances of it happening are next to nil...

That said, it's not a case of giving up on Lattimore as it would acquiring a once-in-a-generation talent at the position...

I'm all for Lattimore and want, no expect, better play from him; but Ramsay is the best cornerback in the league...

So, as the question posed would you trade Lattimore and say a third for Ramsay? My response would be "All week and twice on Sunday"...

And we'd have to see tremendous uptick in his performance before I'd change my mind...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: IF..

I'd rather draft future stars and stick with what we have in house.
