Well I've posted, stated more than once that I prefer building teams by draft vs Free Agency, only keeping expensive veterans at the premium positions (e.g. QB, X-WR, LT, C, RG, CB, FS, DE, K)...

That said, if we had a chance to get Jalen Ramsey, the best pure coverage CB since Deion Sanders (and yes, I include Revis in that range), you damn straight, Skippy, I'm making that deal happen...

I'd have Beyoncé with the Sweet Dreams Dancers in Jax crooning to whomever it took to make Ramsey a Saint - I'd make it happen; and forget about that side of the D for eight years - the man is only 24yo...

On second thought, I'd pay Beyoncé for an encore performance of Baby Boy to close the deal...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Ok, imma say this, yes Ramsey better than Lattimore but i think they are closer than you give him credit. His rookie year he was on par with Ramsey and his second year he started slow but returned close to form. Now this year he looks lost and i honestly think its the scheme and highly questionable play calling by Payton's favorite crony DA

A great player would have the credibility to walk into that office and tell DA his scheme sucks, and it'd get changed...

Do I think they're that far off? not by much. But that difference can be one play - and we know what one play can do...

But he is still young JP and might not think he's got enough time put in to make such a demand. I would but he might not feel that way not to create any waves.

I've given up on Allen's defensive philosophy. He's simply not the man for the DC job in my humble opinion.

No, it's not about going in and making a demand; a great player is a smart player, and use tact to help D.A. come to the realization the defense is flawed through a healthy, vigorous, positive didactic discussion...

I'd say he's definitely at maximum challenge of his current skill-set...

Probably a lot of pressure there to not fall back to Rob Ryan level...
