Re: Observations from Saints' win over Seahawks
Well, like I said in the game thread...
1. We gave up 500 yards of offense. DIDN'T MATTER 2. Wilson dropped back 50 times and we didn’t sack him once. GREAT QB 3. We have nothing behind Kamara at RB. NOBODY IS LIKE KAMARA 4. Through three games, Jared Cook is averaging 1.6 catch/23 yards/0 TD’s per game. WORRY SOME FOR TE |

Re: Observations from Saints' win over Seahawks
Great, couldn't be happier with today's results after dreading this all week.
To answer your point on the 12th man; they're out bandwagonning the Chiefs and Rams now. Texas A&M called and wants their slogan back. |

Re: Observations from Saints' win over Seahawks
Positives:
I'm positive we've got to have better play from the QB position; Bridgewater had opportunities and just can't get it done... Ramczyk and McCoy each had penalties, but they also made some impressive adjustments in-game today without Drew's leadership... It's killing me we just extended Michael Thomas, who played tough, bravely today and we can't get the ball downfield to him... Jared Cook was a waste of money and I wouldn't be surprised to sign a FA or see Dan Arnold promoted if he can make the weight... Eli Apple atoned in a big way with his strip-fumble today; the front four, including the rotation was huge today, huge... If the Kicking game handles the snap exchanges, doesn't muff a punt - they're Special Team Unit of the Week in the NFL... I'll say it and I was wrong for years - Sean Payton ain't sh*t without Drew Brees - Brees has been worth every penny we've ever paid him... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

One thing not mentioned... the D against the run was lights out!
I had several posts about how bad our run D looked to start the year... man did they look solid today. Going to need that against the cowboys. |

Re: Observations from Saints' win over Seahawks
I am honestly surprised at all of the negative talk. Crapping on Teddy or one defensive player or another. Before the season started, looking at the schedule I would not have been surprised to have seen this game as a loss even with Drew as the starter. Seattle is not an easy team, Wilson is an elite QB, and they have a very good defense and yet we handled them, and it only ended somewhat close due to garbage time. To listen to a lot of these posts you'd think we lost. How many points do you need to win by to be happy? Do we have to complete every pass? Defend every pass? Was Seattle supposed to have zero yards, zero points, and we score on every play? I'm disgusted. After the Kamara screen pass Teddy settled in and looked like a good starting QB and the defense did it's job when needed to. Sorry if this wasn't a 60-0 win with a second string QB to make ya'll happy.
