Re: Observations from Saints' win over Seahawks
Just looking at the snap counts from yesterday and Latavius Murray only played one more snap than our fullback Zach Line.

I'd remind you Brees missed a game vs the Panthers, who were an elite defense, and Luke McCown shredded them, didn't need to get comfortable... But you inadvertently hit it on the head, Bridgewater is just not comfortable, he's playing scared; likely scared he's gonna get hurt again... |

Murray hasn't shared the load at all with Kamara, and that's exacerbated with how well Ingram is lighting it up with the Ravens... Nick Easton has already been inactive, and we could've had better in Senio Kelemete had we kicked in an extra guarantee'd $2.5mil total and had him for the playoffs the two previous seasons to relieve Peat... And we got better substitution play from Luke McCown for far less than the $7mil we overpaid for Checkdown Teddy; it's gonna be a white-knuckle ride till Drew hopefully gets back... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: Observations from Saints' win over Seahawks
-Big win!
-Kamara is the truth. I would like to see Murray, Washington or even Line take the meaningless hand offs into the stacked line to end a game that's already been decided. Why expose Kamara to the hits? -Morestead is the truth. -Game changing punt return for a TD by Harris. -Davis is Dome Patrol worthy. -Great effort and run defense. -Special teams all around with plays by Hardee, Robertson and Gray. -Teddy looked tight to begin with but plays well when he just cuts it loose. -The Saints have won two games they easily could have lost. Good sign. -No impact so far from Cook. -The Saints should look for a #2 WR of even average quality before the trade deadline. Completely lacking right now. -Wilson is the real deal. But, you can't pressure/contain him with four guys and you can't just let him sit in the pocket with all day to throw. The blitz packages and covering behind them has to improve moving forward. -Is there no one else available to run down on punts besides Hill? I get the opposing team has to prepare/be aware of fakes. But, I just believe it's more important he stays upright until Brees gets back. |
