I think so with his recent contract extension.
Gurley's decline from his injuries has also greatly effected them, but I think the main problem with the Rams is that the Patriots simply exposed them thoroughly in the SB and wrote the blueprint on how to do it. The Bears probably deserve the most credit cause it was their original game plan, but the Pats put it on full display on the biggest stage. Regardless how strong Goff's arm is and how capable he can be, this is proof that you do need a QB who can read defenses and make proper adjustments without the coach holding their hand and telling them what to do all the time. Give me a QB like Brees, Manning or Brady any day of the week over Goff, Mahomes and Rodgers. |
