Not sure if this has been fully taken care of but............
Vikings | Police & Courts: Todd Bouman - from KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com) February 7, 2003 15:15:35 PT Updating previous reports, KSTPTV reports Minnesota Vikings backup QB Todd Bouman is under investigation for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman during a weekend snowmobile rally and fund-raiser. Lori Peterson, lawyer of the 30 year-old woman involved, claims her client was repeatedly assaulted. "She suffered extreme (physical) injuries, internal and external," Peterson said Thursday. Peterson described the alleged assault as “horrific.” Maybe we could bring back Cecil Collins too. |

Just the kind of guy we need?
I remember reading that in the T-P this morning. It definately caught my eye. Why in the hell would the Saints sign a player that brings with him this kind of baggage? You\'d think they would have learned their lesson. I mean, what is going to happen if he is convicted and he goes to jail? There\'s a waste of a draft pick and money that could have gone elsewhere. Also, why did we never hear anything of this? It seems as if they were looking at other QB\'s, only to all of the sudden sign Bouman. I can\'t say that I am one to criticize the Saints management, but I\'m certainly questioning their motives with this acquisition.

Well, they could have grabbed Rattay for probably a similar salary, and he would have cost the same six round pick we just dealt to the Vikings...
but Rattay is too much like Delhomme. Young (what is he 25, 26?), a career backup to date that probably has the skills to start somewhere sometime, and best of all he went to LA tech. Can\'t have a guy like that - the fans will like him too much and then our little baby Aaron gets his feelings hurt. Poor guy. Let\'s go sign a convict, they\'ll love Aaron compared to this guy! |

From what I\'ve heard Rattay may end up on the sidelines...as a coach. The guy spends the entire game on the sidelines analyzing defenses and writing plays.
Yeah, this was a dumb move. |

I think this guy is an excellent backup and probable starter. Not proven guilty yet so what\'s the fuss?

Some of the mock drafts i have seen have Carson Palmer sliding to 4th or 5th pick. Marvin Lewis is said to be looking more towards Kennedy or Newman. In this scenario, would it make sense for the saints to try to trade Turley to Houston for their 3rd overall pick and grab Palmer? Then put Aaron Brooks back where he belongs....as a backup.?

Absolutely not. A - the Texans will never give up the number 3 pick in the draft for Turley, unless we\'re throwing in additional picks.
B - Leftwich will be the better of the two NFL quarterbacks anyway. C - Brooks WILL NEVER be benched as long as Haslett is in New Orleans. D - Bouman seems like he may be Jake Delhomme-esque. This Finlen kid they signed from Northern IL also has a lot of similarities with Jake. With 4 quarterbacks on our roster and a HUGE set of needs on defense, I think trading up to select Carson Palmer might be the worst thing that the Saints could possibly do. |

If the Saints were to trade up into the top five, they better either grab Newman, Kennedy, or Suggs. If they were to draft Palmer, I would burn everything I own that is Saints related and start rooting for the Texans.
