this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Pretty sad state of affairs eh Pak? I can understand tho. Saints fans have been conditioned to expect to be let down. Life-long Saints fans know this better than anyone. Hell I admit it...I could prob count on 1 hand ...

Just the kind of guy we need?
Pretty sad state of affairs eh Pak? I can understand tho. Saints fans have been conditioned to expect to be let down. Life-long Saints fans know this better than anyone. Hell I admit it...I could prob count on 1 hand the number of times I KNEW we were coming back to win a game, etc, etc, etc. Oh I hoped A LOT. But my gut told me it just wasn\'t gonna happen...and most times it didn\'t. I go into every year hoping for the best but realisticly expecting to be watching the playoffs without my Saints or, at THE MOST the Saints getting into the playoffs and winning MAYBE 1 game. So it goes with this season. I fully expect my team to make a decent showing (even I said they\'d go 12-4 or 11-5). Make the playoffs. And not win the Super bowl. Sad of me to say that? Maybe, but being a life-long Saints fan that\'s how I think. Truth is, I\'d bet most Saints fan are pretty much the same way. They may yap it up at the office with friends and down the halls like I do about how the Saints are gonna do some serious a$$-whipping this week or that week, but deep inside the same thoughts of being let down haunt them.

Dean Vernon Wormer: Mr. Hoover, president of Delta house? One point six; four C's and an F. A fine example you set! Daniel Simpson Day... HAS no grade point average. All courses incomplete. Mr. Blu - MR. BLUTARSKY... ZERO POINT ZERO.
John 'Bluto' Blutarsky: Christ. Seven years of college down the drain. Might as well join the f@$%ing Peace Corps. |

The Brooks problem is deeper than we may think. If he the the Saints future then the future is cloudy. I still can\'t get over how he walked off the field at Charlotte just before half time, I think its signs of some real problems , as the results of the late season colapse showed. Hey I know I\'ll get blasted for my opinion but that\'s the way I feel.

u might be right jm but it doesnt matter brooks is the starter as well as he should be, he is by far the better qb, much better then delhomme who i am glad is gone so it will stop all these people from whining about delhomme not getting a chance, he got his chance to win the job every year in training camp, he didnt do it, so guess what, hes now an enemy with the panthers, so long jake and good riddence.....

Billyh, you need a different perspective. Think of the Patriots two seasons ago. And, obviously, the Bucs this past season. The Saints are next. Brooks is an excellent quaterback. Very promising. I\'ve seen him do some terrific things. The defense is changing even now as I type. And our special teams will be even better with Mitch Berger booming folks deep into their own zone. And Michael Lewis? Forget about it.
