Re: Observations from the Saints win vs Jaguars
That was gonna be a pretty good run. CGJ's closing speed shut that off and his physicality shut that down. Bringing him down in the open field is no small feat.

How many times did Calais Campbell get in? I heard his name a couple of times. Besides that, he was held in check pretty well.
Another solid performance by All Pro RT (at least in my eyes) Ryan Ramczyk. |

I'm trying to keep my Black and Gold glasses off when analyzing players but ...
Thomas Morestead - 6 punts, 5 of which were inside the 20 yard line. My son pointed it out that he's not only kicking the ball well but it has a damn back spin on it to roll away an extra 5, 6 yards. Jacksonville were pinned back with poor position a lot. TM is truly a weapon @ punter. |

Re: Observations from the Saints win vs Jaguars
A win is a win is a win. Loved watching this.
1. Penalties was way down. This is very important going forward. 2. Teddy was solid yet unspectacular. His second half was a lot better than the first. Dilfer has been mentioned and Brad Johnson won a SB too by not causing them to lose. 3. Cook caught all of his targets and especially the TD impressed me. 4. Great day for Morstead. Again. 5. Our run D is outstanding. The streak of keeping RBs under 100yds is still alive. 6. Thomas just keeps snagging the balls. He had a surprising drop early on thou. 7. Best game so far by Murray. I really like when he just powers trough. I would like to see him some in the I-formation. 8. Ginn was finally visible again and looked allright. We need Smith back thou. 9. Good coverage trough most of the game. 10. Cam Jordan had his best game of the season. The way he bullrushed that tackle was beautiful to see. |
W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

We finally had a game with the old punisher role RB then Kamara with the finesse. It is a demoralizer for defenses. Wears them the hell out to the point of submission. Whiffing on Kamara then get hit with a sledge hammer over and over.
