this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; This encapsulates it best (from other thread); where players have got to convince SP to stay with the running game and let our guys pound their guys... While I'm happy with Murray's game yesterday, still can't let go that that ...

While I'm happy with Murray's game yesterday, still can't let go that that game yesterday was built for Mark Ingram, who we developed, and that Kamara's not as banged up with Ingram still in B&G... |

Re: Our running back situation
Washington and Zenner were BEASTS. So glad we cut Ozigbo. His unbelievable catch in the last preseason game was "nothing to see here" .

Re: Our running back situation
It was good to see both Washington and Zenner out there getting snaps. They both looked good out there. Murray had a statement game. We just might be more stable at RB than most of us ever thought possible to start the season without Ingram.

Re: Our running back situation
The thing with Kamara is that while it’s awesome that he doesn’t go down on first contact, those hits add up. He takes a beating.
Murray is the type of RB that gets better and stronger as the game goes on with more carries. |
