Our running back situation
It is obvious to me that Murray needs to have more carries when Kamara plays. I think over the first portion of the season we've done a poor job at getting Murray touches. He single-handedly opened up the passing game today. Kamara is getting way too much of the RB load, and I actually think it's hurting him some through wear and tear.

Murray and Kamara should prove out to be a good combination.

Ingram who? Dayum Murray earned my trust. I know Hicks wasn't there but if he was I don't see him catching that train.

Re: Our running back situation
Bench Kamara. Nobody expected us to win this many games Breesless. Let the man heal. We far exceeded what was thought possible. This will give him almost a month off. Him and Brees return back on track.

For What It's Worth: Kamara Rushing attempts through first 5 games.
2018 63 rushes for 299 yards 2019 86 rushes for 373 yards He's carried the ball an average of 3.4 times more per game this year than last. |

Kamara doesn't break the top 15 RBs in carries |

Re: Our running back situation
There’s a few out there that had doubts . Just true to Ingram I suppose, but look I liked mark too. It took me 4 years to like him though. I said from the beginning that the Murray acquisition may suit us better. He’s built to pound the rock.

Re: Our running back situation
This encapsulates it best (from other thread); where players have got to convince SP to stay with the running game and let our guys pound their guys...
While I'm happy with Murray's game yesterday, still can't let go that that game yesterday was built for Mark Ingram, who we developed, and that Kamara's not as banged up with Ingram still in B&G... |
