this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I doubt Brees will start vs. the Cards, but if he’s ready, start him. Why would you not start a hall of famer who can instantly make our struggling WR core better?...

I doubt Brees will start vs. the Cards, but if he’s ready, start him.
Why would you not start a hall of famer who can instantly make our struggling WR core better? |

If Brees is 100% healthy, a week off after a game is better than waiting 2 more weeks to start him. There may be soreness in the week after the game. The extra week of rest after his first game is actually a very good thing.
