Drew Brees: The plan is to play on Sunday

Brees also said that the surgeon said that he has to also wear an external brace on the thumb to provide additional stability to the joint until it is 100% healed. So no, he isn’t 100%. Game pressure is different than practice pressure.

No one hear isn’t looking forward to Brees coming back. Some are looking further down the road. I’m looking at the rest of the season and the playoffs. With a healthy Brees and the way all three phases of our team is to playing I feel we can go anywhere and win. Even if its the NFCCG on the road.

I agree with some of that, but I feel we need to be at home in the NFCCG. If Brees plays this weekend then he can. If he doesn't, he can't. What I am saying is that if he can he gives us the best chance and I hope to hell he can.

I agree that he gives us the best chance if he is truly far enough along in the the recovery/rehabilitation process. Al long as we have him ready for the long run to the SuperBowl!

True. And what I am saying is trust the team. They will make the call. If he plays then he should. If he doesn't then they felt he shouldn't. We should all be hoping he does play because it means he is ready.

Hell, knock the rust off against the Cards and then face our division foe with a game under his belt.
