He gives me a slot vibe like that of Meachem and Brandin Cooks. We tried so hard to make Cooks into our #1 receiver but at best, he was a slot guy. |

I agree with points 1 and 3 but I don't believe our Offensive Line is elite. It has got better but I believe our guards are our weak points. Not that they are awful, but I think they are more susceptible to interior pass rushes than our guards of the recent past.

Re: Observations from the Saints Win Against the Cardinals
Since yesterday was National Tight End Day I'll start out with some TE points.
1. Arnold showed why the team likes him and keep him around. Only 2 catches for 25yds but he also had that TD at the end of the half that was called back by no fault of his own. 2. Josh Hill had a massive block downfield on Patrick Peterson to help spring a runner downfield. On the same play Line could be seen hustling to blow somebodys head up. Its the type of agressivness you see on good teams where guys wanna help eachother succeed. 3. Brees started out a little slow but by the games end it looked like he had never been gone. You could clearly see how expanded the offence is with him and how he has an ability to make every player on the field a target. 4. Good to see Harris catch some balls. he is way to athletic to only return kicks. Should be a nightmare out of the slot. 5. Onyemata is a man among boys. He was leading the charge on stuffing that run on 4th and 1... 6. ...where Alonso came in to just clean it up. I am really happy we got him he has been real solid so far. 7. Their biggest gain came on a trick play where we had excellent hustle from Marcus Williams chasing the play down from the other side of the field. That was huge and probably kept them from scoring an early TD. That's why you practise taking good angles when running to the football. We should steal that play design BTW. 8. Is there anything Taysom Hill can't do? When was the last time a QB had 3 catches for 63 yards and a TD? 9. My lord what a football player Michael Thomas is. He seldom flashes with the big play but the concistency is remakable. I just love watching him run routes because he beats the best doing it. 10. O-line play a great game. Peat looked really good with multiple key blocks. Our tackles are the envy of the leauge and our rookie C should have been picked in the first half of the first round. |
W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

Re: Observations from the Saints Win Against the Cardinals
I used to hate on Kyler Murray for 4 years while he was winning 3 consecutive 6A State titles here (Allen High) in the metroplex but I can't hate on him anymore. He is a promising young player.
If you're an Arizona fan, you gotta be pleased and encouraged with his ability. He's short but has a lot of talent. |

Did anybody notice Mike grabbing his knee on the bench after his touchdown? I think he came back in afterwards, so hopefully it was nothing

Re: Observations from the Saints Win Against the Cardinals
I have to add, J. Hill looks like a legit TE in the NFL for the first time.

The bye comes at a great time. If anything happens or if we have to play games without Thomas, our depth at the position is shaky at best. |
