I even posted about a rumor of a possibility of AJ Green.

Based on what I know (and it isn't much) is that once Gordon makes it out of IR (2 weeks) he is not subject to waiver and then getting snagged by a lower record team.

Would it not make sense for him to go somewhere that he could make the Patriots regret not keeping him around? Wouldn't it make sense for us to sign him for the year and see how it works out if he is indeed healthy?
Actually, it's the other way around. The Patriots are purposely waiting until AFTER the trade deadline so Gordon WOULD be subject to waivers. If they released him earlier he would be a free agent and available to the highest bidder. Belichick is making sure he doesn't go to a team that would be a post-season threat. Extremely smart move. Nobody plays the system better than New England.

Can't see him being available to the Saints on waivers and you have to wonder why a Pats team needing receivers is willing to just cut him. Something going on behind the scences

I like the idea of another receiver on the roster who can take pressure off Thomas. No one on the roster has been able to do that yet. We need a slot receiver or a tight end badly. Most casual observes can see that would help the other aspects of our offense.

more likely Saints can give 1st rd but then it be high 20s or 32.

So they be giving up 1st and 4th for a good WR most likely. Then may end up shipping someone to wherever.

Wish we could get Sanders, but may be steep. I dunno if I be sold on Gordon or Tate.

Considering we'll nearly be on the hind tete on the wavier claim order, wouldn't hold my breath that he'd make it to us...

Then there's the whole recovering from issues in New Orleans challenge, kind of a big deal...

Gordon is done.

Have you guys seen how thin the Pats are at the WR position? They'd keep him if he still had juice in the tank.

Gordon caught 41 passes for 737 (18 ypc) and 4 TD in 12 games for 2018. 18 yards per catch is the average.

How is that done?

He isn't done ... not in the league. He may be done by not being there when Belichick needed him. Bill is not a patient man and quickly moves on from players regularly.

Now I would agree with that. See Cameron Meredith and Antonio Brown.

But for the poster to say "done" from a production stand point is false.

That's 2018... how is he in 2019? Gordon didn't even finish the 2018 season.

If the Patriots don't want you, there is a reason to be cautious...

They are in desperate need of WRs too.
