WR, will the Saints wait and try to take a flyer on Josh Gordon
So far there has been a bunch of rumors surrounding the Saints and possibly adding another WR. However, their current team has been built mainly through the draft and they know the importance of building through the draft. So I am sure they are reluctant to spend picks on an impactful receiver.
I even posted about a rumor of a possibility of AJ Green. Based on what I know (and it isn't much) is that once Gordon makes it out of IR (2 weeks) he is not subject to waiver and then getting snagged by a lower record team. Would it not make sense for him to go somewhere that he could make the Patriots regret not keeping him around? Wouldn't it make sense for us to sign him for the year and see how it works out if he is indeed healthy? |

The locker room could withstand Gordon for 12 games.
Can Gordon live within the rules? |
Re: WR, will the Saints wait and try to take a flyer on Josh Gordon
I had to pull up stats/production on Josh.
Gordon caught 41 passes for 737 (18 ypc) and 4 TD in 12 games. FWIW, Josh's 18 ypc last season is higher than any season Ginn has ever had. I'd welcome that type of production in New Orleans + we wouldn't give up draft picks. I'm just at the point of "why not" on talented guys who can help MT and this team . Carr, Hogan, Humphrey's aren't those guys. I know some will say Bill Belichick is the Yoda of coaching but I'd counter that and say Sean Payton is a better master mind on offense. What's the risk would it be to sign him? If he's close to being healthy and no "pending" suspension ... take a chance. |

ESPN: Josh Gordon to return from IR, be released in 1-2 weeks
New England Patriots receiver Josh Gordon, who is on injured reserve, expects to be ready in one to two weeks, sources told ESPN's Josina Anderson on Saturday. The Patriots used the minor designation for his placement on injured reserve Wednesday, signifying a lesser injury. That means the team has to release him upon his return to health. If this happens after Tuesday's trade deadline, Gordon would be subject to waivers and other teams could put in a claim for him -- and he could be on a roster at that time. |

Really don’t think we are in as bad of shape as some think. Taysom has developed into a legit receiver and I think you will see more of him than we ever have. I can see the trick plays taking a back seat to a more permanent role. We know what we have in Teddy so there’s no reason to “save” Taysom.
Save the capital and role with him. |

Evan Engram, AJ Green, Golden Tate, Bobby Boucher, Jr. ... someone is getting a phone call to discuss trade options. Tre has been out for almost a month, Kirkwood is on IR & no clue on how injured Cook is or when he will return at full strength. If you lose Michael Thomas .... boy. |

Can't see him being available to the Saints on waivers and you have to wonder why a Pats team needing receivers is willing to just cut him. Something going on behind the scences
