Saban punks Wright!
Dolphins rookie Wright cries during practice
July 26, 2005 CBS SportsLine.com wire reports DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins rookie Manuel Wright apparently is having a difficult time adjusting to the NFL, and was in tears Tuesday. Advertisement The 6-foot-6, 290-pound defensive tackle from Southern California -- the only pick in this month's supplemental draft -- broke down during an afternoon practice session. Exactly why Wright lost his composure was unclear. Team policy does not allow reporters access to players following a midday interview period. "As you well know, young players need to develop the kind of mental toughness and attitude that they need to be professionals," coach Nick Saban said. "So we are trying to help him with that, too, which may be why we need to get on him a little at times." Wright was eligible for the supplemental draft because he is three years out of high school. As a sophomore at USC last season, he had 23 tackles, including six for losses, and recovered two fumbles. Saban said the rookie has struggled a bit so far with muscle soreness and other issues, and believes Wright is "probably not in as good of shape as he needs to be in." Wright was able to finish the workout, Miami's third of this year's training camp. "I got on him about what we wanted him to try to do at least today, to try and work himself through it, and he responded well to it," Saban said. Big baby! Saban why don't you pick on someone your own size!!! Remember his work ethic and conditioning was question prior to the draft and in college. |

He's crying? Well, I still think we should have gotten him. I mean at least he has emotions right? I'd rather he cry and finish practice than not cry and be eating hot dogs before a game cause he just doesn't care.

It's bad enough that alot of draft picks, as well as veterans get arrested, hold out and just plain blow their careers each year, now we have a crybaby who is sure to strike fear in the hearts of his opponents. I bet anyone of us could line up against this guy and talk about his momma and then kill the QB!
In the words of Tom Hanks, well sort of "there's no crying in football". |

As long as he is on another team, let him eat as many hot dogs before the game as he wants to.
