You're right, it's not a CBA thing, but rather a general standard. Notice that Brown signed a 5 year deal (after I suggested this), Bullocks a 4 year deal, and everyone else 3 year deals. You guys are right though - it's not specifically in the language of the CBA... though I have heard (somewhere) that the reason for these time frames had something to do with the CBA, but I can't remember the rationale. |

He did not have teams clammoring to get him , he had a few interested teams . Damn , Clarrett went higher . Loomis should have hard balled him and signed him to a five .He is a project quarterback and they will need time to develop him . If he goes NFLE he could draw attention early and that won't help the Saints position in renogiation . |
