I think that we just have to hope that Smith and Ginn can step up their game, and maybe use the RBs as slot receivers more than they have while using Harris as the deep threat. |

Re: Saints vs. Falcons Game Day Thread
Brees tried to throw a deep ball to Ginn and it went about 20 yards lol.

Re: Saints vs. Falcons Game Day Thread
I've rewatched a ton of plays and thought about it a lot, and I'm not sure how people can put this mostly as Brees fault. One thing, and probably the most important thing is that today we couldn't get off the field on third down. This became much worse after Lattimore got hurt as they made so many easy third down conversions just playing pitch and catch with Julio Jones. If we had him the entire game, the game could have been a lot different.. though I think we'd still lost. The Falcons came to play today, I can't stress enough how the Falcons are actually a good team when they play with energy(something that they've been lacking all year). I think we got stunned and forgot to do what we normally do. The biggest problem on offense from my perspective was the play calling. We didn't run the ball enough. I think we kind of got in this where we were like "oh ****, they came to play.. and never stop and caught our breath and approached the game logically". We kept trying to force something that wasn't there. The offensive line also played like ****. I'm not saying Brees played great, but if we did the same exact thing with Bridgewater, we'd have had the same exact result.
