I guess some more of the story could be... He couldn't read a defense if they wore name tags. Notorious for never reading through his progressions. Took way too many sacks. In 2015 it was widely reported that he was not popular in the locker room. The 49ers made it very public that they wanted to get rid of him before his contract was up. He went 11-24 in his last three seasons with a Super Bowl caliber team. And then he kneeled. If you wanna lionize him for his social stances, that's cool, but lets not pretend he was anything more than a below average qb. |

His last year as a QB he had 2,241 yards and 16 TD’s to 4 INT’s. 468 yards and 2 TD’s on the ground as well. Not to mention, those teams were far from Super Bowl caliber after Harbaugh left. At the very least he should be a backup and on a NFL roster. He’s not a bum. When he was coming out they worried about him coming from a system that was based on the pistol. Guess what offense is popular in the NFL now?
