I still believe in Emmanuel Butler. I don’t think the training camp hype was unwarranted. He has a TON of potential. I think we’ll see him called up before the season’s over.

Re: Video: Why Haven't Saints Called Up Emmanuel Butler?
Why do we have to continue to develop players , it rarely works out . We’ve flopped at drafting lineman, QBs , lbs, dbs in the past why not try a high end complete WR every once in a while. ala MT. It is what I thought he was a morning glory in racehorse speak. Beats everything for workouts but when it comes gametime he spits the bit. We don’t need another MT we need speed and a nack to spring open.

3 weeks ago there were articles released saying that Keith Kirkwood was healthy and coming back. Since then, absolutely nothing...

I think our system is just so precise and everybody has to do their job that Payton doesn’t want young star WR’s coming in freelancing and doing things their way.

Re: Video: Why Haven't Saints Called Up Emmanuel Butler?
We've been putting most of #1 picks on the O-line or the D-line and draft resources are limited. We got MT in the second round and AK in the third round I believe. Tre Smith has not been the receiver we had hoped for and was considered a bit of a reach in the third round. We won't have Drew making receivers look better than they actually are for much longer and we need another dynamic receiver.
I believe that it's time to invest a high round draft pick in a WR but we don't have a second rounder this year and we need to replace at least one player on the left side of the O-line. Where will we get this difference maker? I'm not sure but I don't believe that we are currently developing that guy. |

The fact that Michael Gallup puts up numbers week in and week out makes me sick, when we have Tre'Quan running round looking like he has no clue what to do.
