ProBowl Glover not starting for Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys All Pro Bowl defensive lineman La'Roi Glover wants is an opportunity to compete for the starting job with Jason Ferguson, who in the off-season signed a five-year contract that included a $9 million signing bonus. The only problem is that coach Bill Parcells has said he expects Glover to get most of his playing time in the nickel defense and to be a part-time player in the Cowboys' new 3-4 base defense.

I knew Glover was going to get demoted when the cowgirls
went to the 3-4 defense. Glover is not big enough for the 3-4. |

Maybe if we sign Howard to a long-term deal we'll have cap space and we could work out a trade... yeah, I know it's not likely... But just for a moment, allow yourself to imagine the Bucs in 3rd and 7 with Grant, Glover, Howard, and Smith on the line. Oh good Lord.

RE: Wanting Glover back?
Yea it must have been all Glover's fault. Yea our linebacking corps wasn't horrible and our secondary didn't blow either.
Yea it would be pretty stupid throwing money at a 2 or 3 time ProBowler with a lot of gas left in the tank. I like the way you think. I swear... do you really watch football? Or do you just drink while you post? Your logic on things seriously baffles me. |

RE: Wanting Glover back?
Here's our DL for 2000 when Anderson ran over us. Darren Howard, Norman Hand, Glover, and Joe Johnson.... wow! They must have all sucked... what a bunch of garbage names we have here.
Let me see... weren't the Cowboys top 5 in the league prior to last year? Who was anchoring that line and made it to the ProBowl? He play the position of DT which isn't a position where you have glorified stats. Their job is to penetrate into the backfield, which he always does, and disrupt plays. Obviously if he wasn't a stud player, his peers (coaches, players, and fans) wouldn't vote him into the ProBowl. You obviously don't watch enough football and I'm tired of embarrassing you in every single thread you post in. Nevermind I don't even have to say anything... just by posting you look like a fool. Here... I'll do it for the last time. Go check out Marcus Stroud's, John Henderson's, Sam Adam's, Ted Washington's, Richard Seymour's, Jason Ferguson's, Shaun Rodger's, Corey Simon's, and Kris Jenkins' career statistics. These players are considered the premier players at the defensive tackle position. Now ONE by ONE go look up their career statistics and compare them to Glover's. You can do it career wise or compare them yearly. I think you should just stop posting... I have better conversations with my two year old niece than I do with you. Heck... if I were to carry on a conversation with a ROCK, it would be more interesting and educated than talking to you. You sir, are a VERY VERY special person. |

RE: Wanting Glover back?
Do you realize that Glover doesn't fit at a NT in a 3-4 scheme? Do you even realize that the Cowboys switched their defensive scheme? Did you know not only Glover but Greg Ellis isn't starting either? Did you know they signed Jason Ferguson with is the protypical player for the NT position?
Hey son... did you go compare those stats? Did you check it out one by one? I'm pretty sure you didn't that's why you keep on posting. Even if you compare tackles, he holds his own with every player I mentioned on my list and he has more sacks. Do you realize you should just stop posting? I swear... shouldn't it be past your bedtime anyways? Mommy and daddy should definately take that computer away from you. I really don't think you'll be able to deal with all this damage and it might affect you in the future. |

I'll give you some credit... at least you're trying. Usually after I make you look stupid... you just run off and stop posting.

RE: Wanting Glover back?
Obviously stats don't speak volumes to you... if it did you'd realize you have no argument.
Hey if you think you "won" ... good for you. You are a waste of time and I rather conversate with someone who can read and process information. I'm pretty sure my dog could process info better than you. |
