This is more about my trust in Sean Payton than it is my belief in the attitude of Cam Newton. I think your point is the most valid in regards to injury concerns. I think the media has made a bigger deal about his “leadership” than it really is. I’ve never really heard teammates or ex-teammates speak bad of Newton, and when they went to the Super Bowl it was because he led them there. He’s a proven winner at every level.

Cam Newton has said some things that have made me lose respect for him as a person. However, I can’t act like I wouldn’t be willing to take a chance on him as a football player, especially if Teddy decides he wants to be somewhere else. I believe the future is now and quarterbacks who can move are the pathway.

Josh Allen
Lamar Jackson
Deshaun Watson
Patrick Mahomes
Carson Wentz
Dak Prescott

That added threat is the wave. It’s the real reason Joe Burrow is thriving at LSU in my opinion and why he will do the same at the next level. The kid can do both.
What else does most of those QB's have in common? Injuries. I expect that all of these QB's will have much shorter careers than the more conventional QB types.
