The success of the Falcon's onside licks were based upon the unique angle of the kick and the perfect bounce. The angle has undoubtedly been addressed. NOTHING can be done about a lucky bounce. And your percentages are meaningless. Without those two lucky bounces the Saints would be no worse off than any other team in defending against the onside kick. The sample size is FAR too small to be meaningful. Although, taking odds into consideration, given the Saints are more likely than the vast majority of the rest of the league to be leading near the end of a game the odds of the opponent attempting an onside kick would rise exponentially. But, once again, I am sure you are stressing over it far more than anyone associated with the Saints at this point in time. ![]() |
