Brees is as good or as bad as the O line. He's a short, non-mobile, 40+ year old QB. He needs a great O line to give him time and, most important, provide throwing lanes. He didn't have either against the Vikings.

Not saying our O line played well, but dang, some of you will blame anyone and anything before looking at Drew. I am thankful for Drew, but I am a saints fan first, and right now I am eager to see what Payton can do with a different QB. Last time he had a different QB we went 5-0 and the games weren’t close. |
The Saints are 0-42 when running the ball less than 15 times in a game.

Payton just refuses to commit to the run now. Gets way too pass happy and Brees either checks down or throws into double coverage, nothing in between. |
