I Want Drew Brees Back IF.......

Want to know what sucks? We’ll carry $21.3 million in dead cap next season for Drew Brees whether he plays or not thanks to how we did his contract. So if we re-sign him to another one or two year deal with a $25-30 mil cap hit... he’s going to count almost $50 mil of our cap space.

If he retires (doubt it) that 21.3 is off the books right?

Sadly not my friend. That 21.3 is there regardless.

Unless next year's potential deal is pushed into 2021? I'm asking because I don't know.
