You know what's funny to me? The glaring overreaction by fans after a loss, especially a playoff loss. I get some of the "time for Drew to retire" stuff, although I think that he is still very good and far better and certainly more consistent then anything we currently have on the roster. After a tough loss, it always makes me laugh to watch the "Replace Drew Brees" and fire "Sean Payton" remarks. We were 13-3 and had a bad game in the playoffs. It happens. Sure, the play calling could've been better, Drew shouldn't have thrown that stupid pick in double coverage and the fumble was huge. But my hell, people screaming for one or both of them to be gone is shocking. I'm a huge Taysom fan, but I don't think he's gonna be consistently good as an every down QB. Even then, I still like his body of work better than Bridgewater's. Yeah he can't throw the mong ball anymore, but Brees is going to be consistently better than both. And for those calling for SP's head....I'm sorry...I just can't deal. Lol |
