I think it’s time to find a Quarterback who can move. The odds of finding a player who can replicate what Brees has done over the course of his career is ridiculously slim. Being transparent, I no longer believe in Brees.

Ur opinion is non bias and acceptable saw it myself where drew has a hard time stepping away from pressure. Not a problem him stepping up but definitely lost something .

For those who want to replace Brees now, please tell me with whom?
Who do you realistically see that we can sign that will be an upgrade to Brees for 2020 or 2021 for that matter.

You’re not gonna get a good FA qb with the dead money whenever he goes year one. So you’ll prolly have to get a qb out the draft and change the offense to suit them. Like they did for Teddy. Its just a matter of if the FO wants to do it now or later. I see them doing it later and payton skipping town when drew does. But the song remains the same. The dead money will be there.

Payton is not skipping town. This is the second post mentioning Payton running up the bill and then hitting the road before the bill comes. This is a family owned business and Payton runs the show. Where else is he going to go where he has full autonomy?

13-3 with a back up QB is pretty damned good. He isn't going to run the franchise in the ground and then leave for greener pastures. That is not the Payton I know. Read his book sometime. He might be full of hubris but he's honorable. Ya'll need to give it a rest about this nonsense.

Meanwhile ...

Jimmy Garoppolo and Ryan Tanneyhill are still standing with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line this weekend.

Goes to show you that a good to above average defense & a consistent run game are still your best bet on getting where you want to be in February.

AND a certain degree of luck when it comes to injuries. A healthy Davenport and Rankins would have made a huge difference this post-season.

We also need better depth.

The Niners ended the season with 2 more guys land on IR than we did, not to mention they lost their starting center & DT (forced a crucial fumble on Kamara) vs the Saints and the season. In my eyes, losing a GOOD CENTER & DT was huge but the Niners didn't seem to skip a beat. They are one game away from the Super Bowl with an average QB. ** Let's not forget the Titans were 2-4, then Vrbal SWAPPED out his former 1st rounder QB for Ryan Tanneyhill and went 9-7.

Saints simply didn't get it done.
