Dissolving the Saints makes no sense. If the ownership and upper management were involved in something legitimately insidious, then yes perhaps NFL/NBA could force sales of the Saints and Pelicans, but I doubt there's a case to actually disband either franchise.

Where are y'all getting the crazy notion that the Saints management in any way condoned what any child molester did? They have had a long standing relationship with the local archdiocese that asked their advice on public relations, along with several other "civic leaders". The people asking for the advice are not the ones accused of any wrong-doing. The Saints said they suggested be open and transparent. From my understanding the church has been completely cooperative with the investigations. Y'all are buying into the ridiculous hype of the Associated Press trying to create a story.

Try educating yourself before jumping to all kinds of false conclusions. This is what I HATE about the so-called media today.

Holy Crap Batman! Got a bad feeling on this one. No way to come out of it unscathed.

Unfortunately, this is true. Doesn't matter what advice the Saints gave, or who initiated the conversation, they are going to be seen as wrong in this situation. It's not going to end well.

As you said, let all the facts come out - full disclosure...

Yes, perspective. I know how the media operates. Especially operations like the AP. The more **** they can stir the more money they make selling their crap. Skymike put it right when he said the AP is slightly above The Inquirer. Or maybe he is wrong. They are a step below.

And that will come through the legal system, or do you feel that laws are no longer important when it comes to media demands?

If the Saints emails were subpoenaed as part of a case the Saints cannot release that information publicly until a court decides.

Attorneys for about two dozen men suing the church say in court filings that the 276 documents they obtained through discovery show that the NFL team, whose owner is devoutly Catholic, aided the Archdiocese of New Orleans in its “pattern and practice of concealing its crimes.”

This is pretty troubling.
