They are moving past criminal responsibility and going after the almighty dollar where ever it may lie. They are in full on ambulance chasing mode and the Associated Press is right there as part of the suit. Notice ALL of this is coming straight from the AP and AP only.

I wonder if the new owners will move the team?

Dallas?

Should they?

Peyton Manning?

If the PR help the Saints gave them was helping protect the reputation of certain priests... I wouldn’t even know what to do.

What if the help was telling them to make sure who you add on the list is absolutely implicated or you'll be exposing yourself to lawsuits from the other direction. Other than that, be as "open and transparent" as possible.

The whole point is all the information we are getting is from the Associated Press that wants to sensationalize as much as possible. NO true fact are available, but all will be released when the court decides it is relevant. Nothing has changed.

You are reacting exactly as they would want, without thought or reason.

First of all, there are not going to be any new owners. Even if everything the AP is trying to claim MAY have happened is true, and even more, none of it is criminal in nature and the other owners would not weaken their stronghold by voting out another owner. They are saying that an email may have implied that a Saints employee was involved in a discussion with "third parties" concerning the makeup of a list of priests to be disclosed to the public. The AP tries to imply that the Saints were part of some decision making, but the lawyers aren't going that far at all.

Former Carolina Panther owner Jerry Richardson "Show me how you wiggle to get those jeans up. I bet you had to lay down on your bed to fit into those jeans. Did you step into those jeans or did you have to jump into them?"

Even if everything the AP is trying to claim MAY have happened is true.......

Sound Familiar?

The Carolina Panthers and Mr. Richardson take these allegations very seriously and are fully committed to a full investigation and taking appropriate steps to address and remediate any misconduct," Drummond said. "The entire organization is fully committed to ensuring a safe, comfortable and diverse work environment where all individuals, regardless of sex, race, color, religion, gender, or sexual identity or orientation, are treated fairly and equally. We have work to do to achieve this goal, but we are going to meet it.

The molesting of young boys by priests isn't worse than the allegations against Jerry RIchardson?

Resulting in

The sale of the team to hedge fund manager David Tepper, who paid nearly $2.3 billion for the franchise, became final Monday, seven months after Sports Illustrated revealed details of Richardson's inappropriate workplace behavior.Jul 9, 2018

Way worse. But it was priests that committed the heinous crimes and they should be punished by the law to its fullest extent. Richardson committed inappropriateness and was punished by losing his team.

We have no real evidence as to if Bensel of the Saints was involved past advising. Even if he had it wasn't to a fraction of the extent of Richardson or the priests.

I'm playing Devi's Advocate here. You have to admit the press release from the Panthers at the time sounds familiar doesn't it?
